A scientist is turned into an ape man.
That’s the premise of The Ape Man, an idea so absurd that even a guy pretending to be its writer pulls up at the end and flat out says how absurd it is. Bela Lugosi plays our titular Ape Man here, the scientist in Planet of the Apes-reminiscent makeup. He can only be briefly cured by injecting human spinal fluid. Yeah, that’s a real plot point. It doesn’t work for long. The whole time his disappearance is being investigated, and despite this being a serviceable hour long flick it really doesn’t seem to resolve in any real way. It’s alright.

I WAS gonna give this 2 stars, but then that ending happened. Why would they do that? They shoulda just did a normal 40’s movie ending but no they did that
