Je suis pas le plus grand fan de X-japan mais je sais pas le documentaire est très touchant.. enfait c'est surement le mélange de musique avec des sonorité que j'aime beaucoup avec des moemnts plus touchant notamment sur l'histoire du groupe, leur séparation, la mort de hide etc.. Et tout ça, ça fait un mélange plutôt "classique" mais ça marche bien
On comprend mieux la mentalité de Yoshiki, notamment corrélé à sa façon de jouer.. mais j'ai pas grand chose a dire en plus, j'ai surtout été beaucoup ému durant mon visionnage

An interesting one with some surprises. Fun to see a speed metal band with that kind of fan base. Marilyn Manson jumpscare. The cult brainwashing thing felt insufficiently explained but that’s not what the doc is about. I’d have preferred less romanticizing and more cultural context but this is a quick hit covering a decent stretch of time so instead I guess it’s admirable for the narrative you get.
