Very conflicted.. I wish it felt more noirish, I don't really know what this felt like. Rita Hayworth was the best part by far, (Especially her singing). You obviously get the noirish lighting and etc. but something about the plot just didn't go with it. I also had trouble buying Glenn Ford's character and found neither him or George Macready to be very enjoyable. The ending also felt unfitting. At least they had a very cool bathroom attendant. I'm torn between admitting that I was extremely bored during this or just accepting that it's not for me despite being excited for it.
Edit: Oooo the Criterion special feature is making me feel dumb as a rock for not getting the gay subtext.. Maybe I just didn't get it
