such a beautiful movie. loved the shots and colors so much, but i left feeling a bit unfulfilled. i really liked the first two acts, but i was left a bit disappointed by the third act.

i found it interesting how they made his character physically much stronger and he clearly has more influence/power, and the juxtaposition with his strong Atlanta persona and the powerless one around his mother and the quiet, shy self around Kevin was very powerful. I just found it a bit rushed and I wish they explored it further. I found some of the final diner scenes to be a bit a dragged out, but it seemed intentional, and I did love the “Hello Stranger” song scene. One of my favorite songs ever.

I’ll definitely be thinking about this for some time though, the Blue/moonlight allegory is such a beautiful one

oh my god this movie is so beautiful. from the cinematography and colours they use to the story and him finding himself and his identity. i love how it's broken up into the three parts and we see how he changes and who he becomes. definitely recommend to everyone

Moonlight is a masterpiece. 

Every time I watch this movie I’m reminded of my love for cinema. A glimpse into a life of being poor, black, and gay in America. Very emotional watch. The acting is so powerful from literally all the characters. Juan has to be one of my favorite characters ever. A version of tender masculinity not seen much.
