A staggering achievement of documentary filmmaking; sweeping, epic, horribly tragic and meticulously researched and directed. A macro and micro look into the institutions that shaped both America and OJ, and the far reaching consequences of their collision. On one hand terribly frustrating, on the other incredibly illuminating. I really loved this.

Episode 3-5:

“Had I ever used that word… well obviously yes”

“If the glove does not fit, you must acquit” 🧤

The last few episodes had great editing, of each of the lawyers going back and forth with one another.

Super ironic, that after the murder trial he falls back on the black community after not wanting to be affiliated with them, after being shunned by his white peers. It’s shocking doing all that for some merch.

Through the advertising and football career society removed the skin colour of OJ and saw him as a white symbol, as the white folk projected their ideologies upon him as they believed that “OJ was colourless” with the average thought of being that he was the ones that made it. 

As well as the prospects of his career in football, OJ rejected the love from the city of buffalo. Though breaking the rushing yard record and being positive to all of his teammates, he hated being there and wanted out.

Leslie Nielsen Marathon: PART 38

This isn’t really a Leslie Nielsen movie but it’s in his filmography so I’d say it counts, I’m not gonna rate it as if it was a Leslie Nielsen movie, I’m just gonna rate it based on how good it is.

Yeah, this is amazing. It’s one of the best documentaries I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. I’ve always been interested in O.J. Simpson's case and this documentary gave me a whole bunch of new information. It’s really well made, really interesting, just over all astonishingly great.
