Insane that Stephen King worked on the story like what the fuck lmao. And Stan Winston directing it is crazy too considering this is the same guy behind the makeup work for The Wiz, Terminator 2 & 3, Batman Returns, and Constantine. Michael Jackson’s level of greatness really had the best people from every world wanting in on the fun.
I’ve never seen this in full before. It’s really a trip because you can feel how much fun all the legendary people involved were having making it. You really had no idea where it was going to go at any point. The makeup/VFX still kind of goes crazy, especially the way they motion captured Michael’s movement and dance performance with that skeleton. And the Michael makeup in the fat suit is incredible. He gives a reallyyyy fun performance. This whole thing is basically him going HOOOOOOOOO for 30 minutes and it’s amazing.
