What a colourful, strange, half-comical film that is so smile worthy from start to finish.
Totally forgot that the Coen brothers had made this, but you can definitely feel their mastery within; From the brilliant colours that just pop right and soothe so correctly, to the performances which felt oddly real and fun more than anything, and the dynamics between the characters that are so pure to me. It's a film which takes itself seriously, but has so much fun doing so. The concept to me is the most fun. It's a bizarre idea which works so damn well, and it is DAMN impressive that this is the Coen's second movie made. The film holds this duality of warmth, even in cold moments you still feel this warmth. It's so wild to me how satisfying this film is from beginning to end, and I can definitely see myself rewatching this more in the future..
