TW FOR THIS FILM THE TEACHER AND ONE OF THE STUDENTS GETS SEXUALLY HARASSED THERE IS NO SA SCENE. THEY JUST SAY THINGS AND ONE OF THE MEN PULL UP THE TEACHERS SKIRT AND GRABS THE TEACHERS BREASTS. I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE BUT PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!! 🩷🩷🩷

I first watched this when I was seven. During the school holidays I had to go back to school in less than a week. I refused to go because of how much this film scared me. The reason it scared me so much was because it is an Australian film. All the scary movies are American not Australian. So I was then convinced that Father Christmas was going to come to my school and shoot me. Another reason it scared me so is because of the guns. Here in Australia guns are illegal and you can only have one if you’re a farmer or police officer but here they have guns (guns were not banned until 1996) but I was convinced otherwise because of this movie. 😭
But this film scares me now for a different reason. I work with kids I’m an after school care educator and those kids are like my children if we were kidnapped like they were in this film I’d do everything in my power to keep them safe. I know I say I hate kids on here in my reviews and it is definitely true I do not want kids but still I’d protect the kids I work with. Being an educator you kinda are a parent to them I HAVE MOTHERLY INSTINCTS!!!
Also the makeshift candle they make I did that with my mum and it works!!! I love this film now I’ve only met three people who have seen this film. I watch it quite a lot it’s on YouTube!

Guys I finally got this on dvd!!! (They took it off YouTube)
Also I finally researched this case and the movie is EXTREMELY dramatised but I thought the case was interesting it’s called the 1972 faraday school kidnapping. One of the victims has written a book about it Robyn Howarth who was only ten at the time. I’m going to buy the book next pay. The Kidnapper has also written a book and I might buy it (but off eBay so he doesn’t get any money)
This movie while not accurate whatsoever is so brilliant to me. It is very well done especially considering it was an Australian film from the 80s.
