Such an underrated murder mystery movie, the female lead is likeable and was so eager to find the culprit that frame her boss, for some reason she got gut feeling (probably) or know him enough to know it wasn't him. At some point, she did a goodjob at that even with no help from the witness without losing any hope to bring him justice. I admired that about her. The confession wasn't really suprising you'd already figured out by then i actually Prefered a murder mystery that made me think about who could be possible suspect but this is an still an okay movie

my biggest problem with classic noir films is that they created this association between noir and jazz that makes them almost inseparable nowadays. like what if i wanted to watch a film noir that had an ost with nothing but alex g and elliot smith? duster? nu funk? a noir film with trip hop and acid trance?

i blame old people for the lack of forward thinking and younger generations for thinking that film noirs are antique and shouldn’t be adapted. film noirs could be SO MUCH FUCKING COOLER IF IT WERENT JUST COPY PASTED GIMMICKY LONELY TRUMPET BULLSHIT FROM ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS
