i think this movie stems down to wanting to be happy in ignorance or be miserable with knowledge

such an innovative surreal screenplay. Charlie Kaufman at his best. the sound mix is great, and the shots weave so well through his psyche and the real world. i loved how well they sprinkle comedy through this which i didn’t notice (or remember) the first time i watched this.

1. she is the poster child for manic pixie dream girl (did she kick the movement off?)
2. they have such a toxic relationship that i didn’t even want them to be together
3. i was actually kinda creeped out by some of the visuals LOL but i just get scared easily
4. i hate Patrick and also sorry Mary <3

however the film itself was very interesting, loved the themes and how the story was portrayed etc — i see why people love this film & why its quotes have become famous

I can’t even comprehend how it would feel to go through memories as they are being wiped from your mind.
I for sure should’ve watched this sooner because man that was phenomenal.

This movie really captivated me tonight. What a gal that Kate Winslet is. Jim Carrie really went for it here, much differently than the Truman show. The story was harmoniously scattered and jointed together in an odd way that works. Rock solid writing. The ending was bitter sweet but introspective. It made me reflect on memories. What they mean to us, how they could change us, memories could bring you joy grief terror or trauma depending on your experiences.
