was fully expecting a bog standard 50s monster movie but was pleasantly surprised by the psychological angle. slow to get going but once it does I dug the hell out of it.

there’s a shot in this that I know that if I'd seen it as a kid it’d be the most traumatic thing I’d ever seen. instead that goes to a certain moment in the trailer of Harry and the Hendersons when I that one time decided not to fast forward the trailers on a vhs tape. yes, pattern recognised.
