I love Neil Young. He’s been my favorite since I was 13 or 14, but I’ve been hearing his music since I was a little boy. I turned this on after watching Neil rock it at Farm Aid 24’ with an amazing performance of Powderfinger and quite a few beautiful picks off of Harvest Moon.
I’m watching this at a time when my grandpa, who is named Neil and also loved Neil Young is soon to pass. My grandma told me about how she and my grandpa would listen to Harvest Moon together and that was their song for a long time, at least one of them. They were together for 62 years, so I’m sure they had more than one song. I saw my grandpa for the last time a few days ago and that was hard and it’ll be hard for a little while more, but it’s nice to have Neil Young around. I’ve been listening to a whole lot of him recently.
