intimacy of sex, purity of love.

a great take on exploration sex within closed-door gay bars that made an impact inside themselves. I couldn't believe I'd seen this randomly on Letterboxd after getting through to many actors searching for something nice from their filmographies and did find this. What are the chances, huh? I've never erected and wet for quite some time while getting fed with pure intentions at the same damn fuckin' time. I love how Hugo were so cautious after the event that he made sure to take accountability onto that stuff even it goes both ways.

How I'd wish I could have someone with a perfect dih, too, that I'll always hold, kiss and compliment without the pressure of getting it to spicy scene after.

I really don't know what to say, perhaps this just really isn't my kinda thing. I enjoy nuanced and meaningful representation, something personal, something deep, something real and emotional and intimate and magical and yet relatable.

A real and fully realised depiction of the human condition within whatever given circumstance.

And this... a 20 minute porn scene followed by a 40 minute advert for using protection, followed by them waffling about whatever the fuck for the rest of it doesn't quite tickle my fancy... 🤷🏻‍♂️

While the initial premise is rather salacious, PARIS 05:59 / THÉO & HUGO opens with an explicit 20 minute scene on par with pornography but is ultimately CLÉO 5 TO 7 by way of BEFORE SUNRISE with a HIV scare plotline. There are ups and downs between the love-struck horny duo, but the final scene will likely put a half-smile on your face when the shoe drops on why the film is titled with 5:59am. Other than that, all the other dialogue in this wouldn’t likely stay with you.
