I can’t believe this movie hqs gotten a blu-ray release. What a time to be alive.

This is a perfect little slice of Irish whimsy. The story of the Irish civil war told through the eyes of a bunch of school kids from Cork.
I remember seeing this in the cinema when it released 30 years ago &, let me tell you, for an 8 year old kid this movie was everything.
But y'know something? Here we are 30 years later & it still is.

This movie defined my childhood. I've probably seen it more than any other movie I've ever seen.
The score is masterful, full of whimsy.
Its just a beautiful tale of growing up. Magic.
