this was such a gentle meditation on death. on the acceptance of it, on the fear of it, on the speculation of what's on the other side, all of these are explored with such grace and tenderness. the deliberately slow pace honestly made me even more engaged with the uncle boonmee, making every gesture, every word have gravity.
everything was beautiful; the shots, the framing, and especially the ambient sound. it felt like i was there in the farm with them, and it added a lot to the atmosphere of the movie. i'm a bit loss for words on what to talk about here. i was deeply moved, and i fell into a trancelike state watching, which is one of my favorite feelings ever. just a lovely movie.
