Robert Eggers is the perfect director to adapt The Tell-Tale Heart. I am very curious to see how much better he could adapt this now with a bigger budget and more experience. I read the story all the way back in 8th grade, so I knew what to expect, but Eggers did a great job at building suspense and showcasing the story.

Eggers has reminded me that I need to get into my adaptation bag… Love this btw this was one of the stories that really got me hooked on literature so seeing a short film for it is so cool. I remember being genuinely taken aback reading this in seventh grade LOL and it’s perfect for a short film too!!  My memory isn’t great but I don’t recall him being the old man’s caregiver from when I read it… he was more of a stalker from what I remember. So if eggers made the decision to add that in, it adds a great amount of nuance and misery which I think is perfect. Real!!!!! Eggers is seriously one of my favs
