Love, Lies
Watching her, I kept asking myself, what would I do if I were in her place? If the person I loved ended up with my best friend… could I really forgive her? What struck me most wasn’t just the betrayal, but how easily everyone around her moved on ,as if she was the one being dramatic for feeling hurt. No apology. No ownership. Just silence dressed as innocence.
This isn’t just a story about broken hearts — it’s about how pain gets dismissed, how betrayal is softened by those who commit it, and how grief often comes with no place to land.

Love, Lies
Not a single tear was shed.

Why was the movie pushing so hard for us to root for the cheaters?! The music swelled when they kissed or reflected on their relationship. BOOOOO!!!

Within kdramas, k movies, or just romance media in general the villain is usually someone whose jealousy is unwarranted. They usually have a one-sided delusion about the love interest and it’s clear from the jump who we’re supposed to be rooting for.
OR we see one of the main love interests already in an established relationship but we see them eventually fall for another while still taking the time to cue their former lover in on their new feelings leaving it up to the former lover to decide how they feel without leaving them feeling cheated on (ex. Enchanted).

The latter is the plot of this movie however unlike how in Enchanted Robert lets his fiancé know he has feelings for Giselle… these characters start a relationship and NEVER tell the girl that they claim as “best friend” or “love” of their feelings.
What Yeon Hee and Yoon Woo did was despicable.

Totally disregarded So Yul, not even pretending to care for her feelings, AND IM SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY AND CHEER FOR THEM. SCREW THEM!! This pissed me off in ways I didn’t think possible. To see the writers so purposefully try and get me to root for clearly awful characters and then have me try and villainize the ACTUAL victim. HOW DARE THEY GO TO HER ASKING ABOUT EACH OTHER AS IF SHES NOT A PERSON WITH FEELINGS.

On a more positive note the music was beautiful. I really enjoyed the bgm and although I enjoyed a quite few of the songs I couldn’t stand the composer or singer so they just didn’t hit for me. Beautiful nonetheless.
Costumes were truly a hit or miss but the scenery was gorgeous. Wouldn’t watch again but I can see the appeal to why someone would (kind of not really)

Final Verdict: DESERVED
