For a remake it is fine but as a Karate Kid movie (with no Karate in sight) it is below average and in my opinion maybe on par with the Cobra Kai show. However, I did find myself enjoying it more than expected although I was confused by the random white people scattered throughout the movie, especially the blonde kid at the beginning when Dre got beat up infront of Meyling.
