as someone born and raised in los angeles, it’s such an interesting view of the city and its use within filmmaking… i also sound like this when discussing the use of los angeles in the hit fox/abc show 9-1-1

Fascinating but too long, really lost me in the last hour. As one of the 1 in 40 Los Angeles residents working in entertainment, I don’t like how angry the tone often is. A lot of this is devoted to filmmakers who seemingly love or hate Los Angeles, often accusing them of punishing Los Angeles for some perceived misdeed. I think film people actually just love iconography and destroying a portion of Los Angeles onscreen is mostly about the spectacle of it all.

I liked whatever blud was waffling about

My biggest cinema blind spot is the lack of documentaries I’ve seen. But this makes me want to watch a ton.
 Just an interesting idea that makes the long runtime feel like a breeze.
