watched this in school, kind of slow but there’s no other way to do this story without it being sort of slow (plus all political movies are kind of slow always). the last act was good and the costume design was GREAT. that’s all i have to say

This movie is fabulous. If you are someone who knows the story and the history, this can be a very enjoyable tidbit. I think the main performances are all great, though it is weird seeing very well known none Russian ( or even Eastern European ) actors in this movie and at times is distracting. It is also a bit longer than it needs to be but still feels epic in scope and story.

It does become duller by the second half. That's where I began to lose interest, but I still found the spectacle of the whole thing quite mesmerizing. Gorgeous sets, beautiful cinematography, and wonderful music.
