I don’t know why, but I feel like I had this movie hyped up for me. Like I swear I heard a ton of people praising this movie, but looking at reviews, I’m confused on what I heard. Frankly, this movie didn’t meet my expectations, but it’s a good movie nonetheless. Once again, Soavi’s eye and camerawork are the highlight of the film, but its ambiguous story is what really drives me away. Now, I like an ambiguous story as much as the next guy, but it felt like this movie didn’t know what it wanted to be or do, making it all the more confusing.
