Kindof a wild amalgamation of fast times, dazed and confused, and detroit rock city. Very bloated and largely follows the wrong character (chris penn) when the side characters (lea thompson/ Ilan Mitchell-Smith) are the true heroes of the film.
Still, despite its bizarrely long strip club scene and dated camera-work misogyny, its pretty entertaining. I’d seen it many times on TV but recently found a VHS copy for sale and decided to revist.
