I have been nerding out with these gundam series, with Gundam Iron Blooded Orphan as my entry timeline. This year i figuring the first and main timeline of UC universe. Watched all the trilogy in one week. and have watched the prequel of Gundam The Origin. My personal take on this one is. This is phenomenal, even though it is not as my thought would be. Less robot fight more politics with hints of drama. My take on this first movie of the trilogy is this one could be confusing if you not have watched the prequel i mention earlier. I higly reccomend that, it sets your expectation, figure, plot, characters, and twist. I mean it helps you less thinking like a mad man lmao.

starts off real slow, even with the introduction of the gundams but then you realize you’re basically watching a show slowly build up because quite literally the show was picked apart and made into this movie and by the middle you realize oh shit this is fucking awesome. even the political side of gundam gets to be interesting and the introduction of more and more elements builds it up until you’re hooked
