For the second movie from the trilogy. This is the slowest yet intense one. Run away from chase of Zeon fraction. It felts like crawling around the world escaping from fraction that always nowhere but everywhere to be. Pretty exhausting and lame to be honest. Besides that good things is, it's fulfilled my desire to see the peak the rivality of Amuro, the lead, and Char, the red comet. And atleast on this second film they actually twist the biggest twist in the entire series. If you know you know. And yet they showing on this sequel where every single characters in this story acually gray in morality. I mean there is no pure bad or good, it's about perspective. Like Zeon fraction with Gihren aka Hitler ripoff but yet there is Rambal Ral whose Zeon also but filled with solidarity and love, not using people as tool like Gihren itself.

the way this part tries to capture the entirety of war through character developments, stupid decisions and random additions is what makes it as good as it is. you constantly have to remember that the reason a character does something is because it is who they are. gundam continues to be a great representation of war, as through this one with major casualties and the nonstop battles that they face.. the stakes just keep rising for the climax and that’s what you want from a movie series, to be excited for the next.
