❝The Constitution was not written for us. We know that. But no matter what it takes, we're going to make it work for us. From now on, we claim it as our own.❞

For a film about Thurgood Marshall, there's quite a lot of focus on Sam Friedman. As far as courtroom dramas go, Marshall is alright, but nothing to write home about. Chadwick Boseman is the soul of the film, and delivers a great performance, closely followed by Sterling K. Brown, but I wanted way, way more focus on Marshall and his journey to becoming an associate justice. Unless you're a Chadwick fan, I don't think I'd recommend this.

This movie is certainly worth a watch, the atmosphere of that courtroom scene is so intensifying.
