Kenneth Williams was the star of the Carry Ons and Round the Horne. Despite his fame, he led a life full of mental torture as he tried to overcome his homosexuality in 1950s Britain. This film follows his life and eventual death based on the many diaries he kept

i didn’t know anything about kenneth williams before watching this movie (im 17 and american) but michael sheen absolutely nailed portraying him and his struggles as a gay man in an unaccepting society. i would probably have enjoyed this movie more if i knew more about who he was/if the movie was a smidge longer or more in depth.
