Was NOT expecting a happy ending 🤩 Obviously the gorilla is the main thing of note, but the money grubbing bar owner changing his ways and going good? Didn't see that coming either 😂 Also his resemblance to Spider-Man character J Jonah Jameson is uncanny 😆

the movie itself is kind of a pg King Kong but it’s so incredible when stop motion can stand the test of time and this is a great example of how it ages when done well

Diet King Kong that’s somehow more racist - but the Harryhausen animation is great.
