It looks like they used photoshop for the special effects in this, truly a marvel of our time.

I feel like this one in the franchise is often overlooked. I know I always really liked it as a kid and the poster is one of my favorites, so much so I have it in my living room but I never hear anyone bring this one up. This is in my opinion where the millennium era gets its footing. We started off slow and relaxed with 2000 now we’re hitting the ground running with constant nonsense. Beautiful constant nonsense but nonsense nonetheless. This movie is about Godzilla never actually being killed in 1954 and remerging everytime there is a new energy solution discovered to just fuck it all up. First it was nuclear energy which he feeds on, then plasma energy which I guess he can also feed on. Now the government sets up a special task force in charge of shooting a small man made black hole at Godzilla and just erasing his entire existence. Upon testing the black hole gun however a worm hole opens up I. The after shock releasing a meganulon into the modern world. The meganulon funny enough where the big creatures in Rodan fuckin 40 years ago or however long ago. They evolve into a ton a dragonflies and then eventually give all their life force to one big boy named Megaguirus. I always liked this one, I think this is where like I said they figured out what was going to set this era apart from the others.
I have to commend the main actress she’s the only person I think in the history of Godzilla to have the privilege to climb up onto his back. That’s shit that would be on my resume for any acting opportunity. Like “yeah you might have been in Oppenheimer or whatever but did you climb onto the back of Godzilla?” This movie is just kind of cool and really sets the stage for reality to be thrown out the window for this era. There’s little things here and there to try and video the movie grounded but they’re just distractions from the real story of a black hole being used to try and kill Godzilla.
