I don’t think I can play ping pong ever again. I saw that this was free to rent so I figured I’d give it a shot since it has 2 of my favorite actors, Matt Damon and Noah Jupe. I came on here to check the rest of the cast and saw it had pretty low reviews, so my expectations were set pretty low, and they were for sure blown away. Noah Jupe has the perfect scared kid face, he played Nicky so well. The different moods scattered throughout the film were great, there were some hilarious moments like Matt Damon riding the little bike, and then the scene instantly switches when the robber gets plowed by a semi truck, it was a great mix of funny and somber. The ending was amazing, the 2 kids just accepting their situation and shoving it to the side.

At the beginning of the movie you’ll think it’s about racism against Black people but then you’ll realize it’s literally just about some random murder you never even understand the reason for or the details of and in the end they just blame the Black characters even though they barely showed up in the movie and honestly it’s such a random movie I don't recommend watching it

This was a Coen brothers script? Oscar Isaac lowkey carried this movie and it blew my mind and made me want to rewatch MoonKnight. I wish this was just MoonKnight :/ Recency bias but put this kid and the kid in weapons for the “holy shit this poor fucking kid wtf??” groupSo sad Josh Brolin shi was cut, I’d rather watch that than the spanking shi and racist subplot :(
