the fetus as villain is genuinely one of the great horror concepts and Alice Lowe doing everything—writing, directing, starring, being actually pregnant—one of the most committed bit in indie horror history

kind of fire conceptually but the approach wasn't really working for me. this takes a serious spin on a wacky idea which works sometimes but not here and i think that's just because the stakes weren't ever that high and the writing could be better. i did like everything involving DJ Tony though.
