"Sometimes, the sadness I feel for the passing of the old days is such that I find it hard to swallow. "
I'm in awe! I just stumbled upon this on TV last night, and even though I missed the beginning, I couldn't stop watching and then I ended up having a breakdown when it was over... I was familiar with the real story of Sitting Bull but I didn't know anything about Weldon's story and her connection to him.
It was so beautiful and interesting and well made but-at the same time it was also sad and heartbreaking.
The cinematography and the costumes were absolutely gorgeous! The story was so intriguing and important to tell.
And the acting...the acting was really what made me fall in love with this movie!
Jessica Chastain was great as always but Michael Greyeyes as Sitting Bull was one of the best casting decisions I have ever seen! He was breathtaking and magnificent in that role! I can't stop thinking about his performance...
Overall, this movie was such a huge suprise for me and I think it's going on my list of favourite movies!
*4,5 stars because I missed the beginning of the movie but I am planning on watching it soon.
