I haven't watched some euro sleaze in a while so I found bloody sex and it scratch that itch in a very entertaining and fun way with an ending that reminds me a little of psycho.
Bloody sex follows 3 girls. A couple and their friend as they travel the country side looking at the history of old abandoned places. Until they get stranded at a sinister woman and her sons house where secrets lie behind closed doors.
If I have to give comparison the movie kind of made me think of psycho as a gaillo film with sleazy charm. The movie has everything a good gaillo mixed with sleaze has to offer. An intresting twist,lots of sex, nudity, a bloody finale and an only relaxed vibe.
Even in the 80s I think this story is done before but what I enjoyed the most was the characters and pacing. The 3 leads are all likeable and have their own personalities. Their nothing too interesting but not every movie needs the most complex of characters. The pacing definitely feels very leisurely. Some might complain about that but what I liked about it was that it helped the atmosphere sit with you until the big twist.
The ending is quite good too. Some goofy blood and gore but what sells it was the bait and switch nature of it. The explanation to what was going on was very not subtle but it worked well enough. And the quote for algernon blackwood was cool too. ( I like his stories quite a bit especially the willows).
