The copy I watched was super fucked up so the sound was delayed and scratchy and the frames where all laggy and I thought it was some intentional artistic choice at first

Bill Gunn is a genius.
This is one of the boldest and most fearless films of the 1970s I've ever seen. It feels like a dream, strange, slow, and surreal yet everything burns with raw sensuality and brilliance.
The visuals are killing. It’s hypnotic, sexy, dangerous, and impossible to forget

So much eerier than I was expecting. Although I guess I had next to no expectations. Really trippy, and the scenes feel so anxious and tense. The music adds to it all so immensely, it’s fantastic.

Love a good dinner scene and this one has a few.
