completeeeee miss for me😭 i usually love the style and aesthetics of coppolas movies the most but I COLDNT EVEN SEE ANYTHING! and why are we supposed to like the girls like what was the point of making them be on the souths side of the civil war? also a civil war movie with literally NO MENTION of anything related to the war, especially the cause of it, and it’s just these women talking bad ab the union the whole time?? i could excuse all of this if the romance was the point of the movie but this man had zero chemistry w edwina or martha, and on top of that he tells edwina he loves her for like no reason and the tries to sleep w a child😭😭 what are we doing bro… i struggle to understand the point of this movie if the characters, romance, and style are all bad? i guess she does a good job of showing female repression and competition maybe but like is that good enough for this movie to exist? idk damn
