adore. its whimsical and messy and imaginative in the best possible ways. i dont understand how they pulled off like 75% of the shots. cinematography, set design, casting, MUSIC: unbelievable.

I liked the concept and visuals, but the kids’ acting couldn’t pull off some of the scenes which unfortunately held me back from being able to fully engage with the film.

This was a very unique film. The best thing about it is the story, which was so interesting. I absolutely loved the cool spin on the Peter Pan story. But the biggest flaw here are the characters. Wendy was a good and pretty well-developed character, but Peter Pan wasn’t a very likable character to me. He trotted around acting like he was just the best and the smartest, when in reality he was like 6 years old and most of the decisions he made resulted in something bad. Other than those two, all of the characters have no development. And even them two reach the bare minimum. There must have been at least 15-20 kids on the island, and we only got to know 4 of them. I think the film would have been much better if we got to know more of the characters.
But I enjoyed Wendy for the most part. It has its flaws, but it’s a sweet movie.

I blindly turned on this movie having never heard of it. It was at the 40 minute mark that I realized it was a retelling of Peter Pan. And a very odd one at that.
