MEN absolutely have the wrong idea of what celebrating female agency means for us women...
before watching this film, i was carrying the expectation that i can personally treat this as a red room origin prequel. the first 30 minutes were alright. but slowly i realised this is just a creepy male-fantasised idea of what powerful female spies look like to them: sex, nudity, more sex, rape and resistance to it.
i always say natasha romanoff deserves her own trilogy, but in reality i'm almost glad it never happened, because it would have ended up being just as sexualised and diminishing as this, turning the super-spy into pure spectacle and seduction, with an absurd and obscene amount of unnecessary sex, nudity and erotica.
it's absurd that this is a 2018 film...
is it mandatory for russian spies to have that fuckass bang?
i came to see a badass spy film, and there literally was no action until the last 30 minutes?
