A tough one because it very much sinks to the level of the lesser Italian maestros of horror and that means it’s not a stand out Fulci BUT it’s mega-horny, loud, and stupid in such an awesome way that the Fulci flourishes are even more jaw-dropping than usual. There’s also a very strong undercurrent of humor that works really well. It’s fun!
The idea that this takes place in Boston is so, so funny. While his take on New Orleans kind of works, this really something else. Also, as another comatose psychic killer movie, it’s kind of funny how it loses the premise (all those people involved in the inciting incident that you never see again) and pursues a winding plot largely driven by older dudes bagging college girls.
