My first Fellini film, and my God I have no words. You could turn this into a silent film and it would still work just as well because Giulietta Masina’s performance is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen. She’s kind of like a sound-era Charlie Chaplin, full of emotion and expression in every moment. The story is fairly simple but it’s also incredibly engaging because it relies more on emotion than plot. It follows a woman trying to hold on to hope and love while life keeps breaking her down. And that ending is absolutely heartbreaking It's been a WHILE since a film made me cry ugly like that. This is an absolutely tremendous film, and I can’t wait to watch more Fellini.

Fuck Zampano and his lame ass trick, SHE was the show.

Fellini's portrayal of loneliness, attachment and abandonment got me feeling some type of way. A great & moving film.

sadly I didn’t enjoy this film as much as I thought I would have to be honest.

 I think largely due to the fact that I found the whole film to be much less tragic than others seem to. Obviously the life of Gelsomina is sad but there are almost no moments through the film that I find impactful or emotional.This however is just a matter of personal perspective.

Fellini created a film that has some stunning shots and there were all round great performances just a shame the narrative didn’t move me how it was intended to.

My first Fellini film, and while it certainly wasn't what I expected, I'm completely satisfied.

Both Anthony Quinn and Giulietta Masina are phenomenal. I loved Fellini's beautifully tragic vision, and I'm definitely excited to see more of his work.
