❝Surviving is not living. Life is more than just what is. It's what could be. What you could make it. You need to promise them dreams that may never come true. You need to love them knowing that you may lose them at any second. Okay? They deserve dreams. They deserve love. They deserve hope. They deserve a mother.❞

As far as post-apocolyptic media goes, Bird Box is fairly formulaic. Its plot is pretty predictable, so it's propped up by the performances of some of its cast, especially Sandra Bullock. I do appreciate the non-linear storytelling and the twists and turns it tries to throw at the audience, as well as its ability to create a decently tense or suspenseful atmosphere. However, there are some issues with the pacing, and I wish we got to learn more about the entities and the cause for the suicidal urges they stir up. With that being said, it's a sufficiently entertaining horror/thriller, and worth giving a go.
