one of the most bizarrely paced films i've ever seen! very grimy but almost wish it was more grimy after the first act. this is really just the middle-class version of eyes wide shut, complete with long bedtime confessions between married couples and weird red-light districts where everyone just happens to be. we are all simply terrified of sex and being honest about it. anthony perkins is just inspired in this. makes me wish that he was able to do even more weird freak performances like this :( man this dude will always be in drag 😭 free my boy
