Norma Rae is a southern textile worker employed in a factory with intolerable working conditions. This concern about the situation gives her the gumption to be the key associate to a visiting labor union organizer. Together, they undertake the difficult, and possibly dangerous, struggle to unionize her factory.

love this movie sm give sally field another oscar but it is kind of bittersweet knowing that Ronald Reagan probably just closed her mill down and built another one overseas. Putting this whole town out of work, also her and reuben had way too much chemistry than this movie knew how to deal with.

This is now on my list of one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen.
Sally Field had a Q and A after I watched this film at the Egyptian Theatre and it is safe to say I’ve been permanently inspired.
Absolutely brilliant

Sally Field gave a fantastic performance in this film. While other things about this film fell flat to me, she carried it on her shoulders. She deserved her Oscar.
