YOWWW i can say that this week was Swann Arlaud’s week! (cuz we know that he’s sooo underrated) ⭐️
this is my first my time watching French period drama and it feels slow with deliberate pace, like letting us sit with the main character’s experiences instead of dramatizing them. the vibe’s really impact to a realistic moments that feel deeply personal
the cinematography, the natural lighting, subtle performances, and calm storytelling style make everything feel authentic. it quietly explores expectations, disappointment, and resilience without turning them into melodrama and also i can feel how to live in 1800s era, too!
ngl i was here because of Swann Arlaud (again 🫣). his performance fits perfectly with the movie’s tone. Swann doesn’t overact but his presence feels important in shaping the emotional atmosphere. and his expressions and quiet intensity add depth to his character, making the dynamic feel believable and layered imo 🤍
