This movie explores grief, trauma, societal expectations and the imbalance of economic classes in ones relationship. You really get into (James Spader's) mind in this film and see both points of view. He is not a enjoyable or rootable character here but in a way you still root for him regardless of his choices. It ends up doing a great social commentary and has a nice ending
