such a beautiful movie! the animation was just overwhelmingly stunning. its soooo saddening to see the illusionist and the other performers accept their new reality, where their art is considered outdated. the storytelling was soo brilliant!!! the illusionist’s final letter to the girl was so mournful. even without dialogue you can feel the emotions of each character deeply. such a good movie i have to rewatch to appreciate it more
