I've read that Joplin's cover was one of David Lynch's favorite song. I think that's pretty cool.
He is my favorite person to ever exist. My biggest inspiration ever. I adore how either you get and appreciate him, or you find him to be crazy and too weird. No I'm betweens.
To be fair, he's just a weird little guy with cool hair that obsesses with dreams, Coca Cola, cigarettes.. He loved to paint, to express and make movies. He inspired generations of Directors out there and will keep. The Art Life is important and society should never give up on art. Keep artists alive.
Also, I wanted to point out the incredible women in his life. His mother, Peggy, Mary, Jennifer.. Behind a great man, you can always find the greatest women.
Jennifer inspiring Eraserhead is something I'll never get over. Like damn.
