The first half of this is quite solid, then it pretty much falls apart and meanders with no real stakes or focus (despite an insane closing to the first half). The action is of course good, but not nearly good enough to justify how mediocre a good chunk of the movie is (Hung would later pull this off with millionaires express, a true slog of a movie that has a finale so incredible it’s still a must watch for action fans). The only thing I will truly remember is the amusing segment where the two main characters fight eachother while also singing.

Great fight choreography and performances in an otherwise very strange movie.
*between this and Heart of Dragon Sammo Hung definitely thinks people with learning disabilities are just dumb. It’s bizarre.
