J’étais tellement petite quand j’ai vu les affamé. Tellement petite que je ne comprenais pas un mot de se qu’il disais. C’est le jour où j’ai découvert que les québécois parler comme ça mais hormis Du fait que je n’es rien compris au film à cause de l’accent québécois c’etais plutôt cool

Was playing Left 4 Dead 2 with a friend when we started chatting about zombie movies. She told me about this French Canadian film, said it was good up to a point and insisted i watch it. So i did.
It had a great opening strong atmosphere, decent tension. But somewhere along the way it lost me. Not because it was bad it wasn’t... just not fully my thing. Still, i’d say it’s worth a watch it's a different take on zombies after all
Also i’m trying to get this friend on letterboxd lol so she can stop recommending me movies from memory and actually track them

There's so much good things I can say about this.
I'll start here: the best thing about this movie is the scenery. The cinematography was also out of this world. The still and wide shots encapsulating so much meaning, it's so dull but so effective.
I really liked the tone this flick set from the beginning, I went in expecting another boring, badly written college project, but this was way more than just a zombie film. As I always say, I love watching zombie flicks, not because it's fun, nor because it's action-packed, but it's because a good zombie flick can truly show the director's expertise and talent. Making a "zombie movie" is an easy and boring excuse to make money, because they know a lot of people will watch it, but when the director is doing more than just that, It would be clear from the beginning, like in Train to Busan or any George A. Romero flick or even in this gorgeous creation. And that's why I love watching zombie films. And the gore is just a bonus that I will gladly take with open arms everyday of the week.
