Way more fond of this on revisit. Still, central mystery is not that great and it is light on effects. It's also pretty fun and I'm more of a sucker for its lazy Hollywood noir.

A work for hire film noir parody with special effects. Schrader tries his best to make something out of but turns out to be way more tongue in cheek. I wish I liked this more and probably would have if there was more confidence in itself to fulfill the imagination
