this was sweet! was a bit rough at first comedy wise but when it became more emotional and the humor was sporadic it started to really hit its stride. still personally wasn’t fully in love with all the jokes in here but there were a few standouts like the 9/11 one that made up for the misses. it did kinda drag a bit near the end and got a little sappy,. but i didn’t really mind it because the vibe was nice. also kumail is just SUCH a pleasant presence on screen that i could kinda just watch him walk around and do nothing for 5 hours and be happy

the communication by everyone in this was a bit too unbelievably frustrating for the sake of plot progression and i kinda hate that

idk why but south asian family dynamics always make me super emotional its weird

there’s a really sweet ron com in here and i like the whole movie a lot but the whole middle and just kumail and the parents is so funny and sweet and they have such good chemistry it makes the whole thing work.
