19-year old Ah Loong is in charge of a street stall selling pirated VCDs. Ah Loong is an incurable romantic with a unique hobby – he loves to read and write poetry. Quite content to carry on being the Romeo of the slums, Ah Loong's life takes on a sudden change one day when a 16-year old Malay schoolgirl arrives at his stall in search of Wong Kar-Wai films.

this movie really captured the beauty of the word sayang.

They don't make movies like this anymore god why. But really ah how do all these freespirited malay girls all come from a very loving and supportive household my parents could never if they knew i had a lover at 19 (which i didn't, and never had) they'd probably just laugh at me. Also wdym you've waited for so long jason oiii you're only 19
